I keep these bags set up in my car trunk. Since it is still very hot outside I set my refrigerator items (in the store bags) into these bags while transporting them to the house. It keeps them cold enough until I get them unloaded and into the fridge or freezer, even the ice cream. I don't know that the handles would hold up if you used them to carry a full bag of groceries into the house, but since I don't need to do that I am happy with the product.

We kept one of those big, sturdy, heavy plastic coolers in the trunk of our car for things that need to be kept cold after grocery shopping, but we've substituted these new boxes. I put a bag of frozen hamburger patties and some room-temperature groceries in this box-bag, after it had been in a very hot car (90+ outside) for six hours or so, so it was quite hot already. These insulated grocery bags are very convenient. I have a membership to a warehouse club that's about 30 minutes from my house. If I stop for gas on the way home or get stuck in traffic, the frozen items in my order can start to defrost. I keep these in the car (they flatten for storage) and fill them with the frozen/cold items. While the bags aren't as thickly insulated as a cooler bag, they work well for grocery shopping. I have received this type shopping bag as a gift in the past and they are still holding up excellently. I ordered these hoping they would perform the same. However, two of the bags I ordered have lids which are incorrectly made and will not fold straight. Also, the same two have bottoms enforcement panels which are very difficult to fit in when bag fully open; and will not stand inside empty bag and allow it to fold properly. Must just be poor quality control problem.

I keep these in my car for grocery shopping. They are great to put perishable foods in for the drive home. They are insulated, but not designed to keep foods frozen or cold for long periods of time. I would say an hour max. The build quality, price, and fold flat feature are wonderful. I would not put extremely heavy loads in and expect the handles to not fall apart, but this is to be expected for what they are. I recommend these if you live in an area with hot climate like I do.

I love that these totes are sturdy and stand on their own. No more bottles or fruits rolling around in my cargo area of the car. I don't know how well the keep things cool since my use is for grocery shopping, hence just the ride home. I'm very happy with my purchase.

These could have been custom made for me. I live 1 1/2 hours from the grocery store, so it's hard to get food home in the warm months. And I have 2 different vehicles I might be taking. Love these bags! I take them on the weekend when going food shopping and they hold so much. I usually put in ice packs in the summer to keep everything cold and it really works well. they are not flimsy and so far the straps have held up well. Good purchase.

These are a rather expensive way to keep your frozen foods and other perishables cold for a couple of hours. The manufacturer says they will aid in keeping food frozen for a "couple of hours” and I accept that as a reasonable estimate. Throwing in a few ice packs might prolong that time a bit. I love these insulated totes. They have sturdier sides than the usual bags. And they seem to hold more. They store completely flat, but pop up to a nice size. These will be great for trips to Sams Club. And large picnics will fit in these as well.

These are nice bags, but they’re much shorter and smaller in person than appear on the listing and compared to other bags here. You could fit smaller items easily, but taller items (like size of a chip bag & maybe gallon of milk) would have to lay on their side to be able to close the bag. They fold nicely though for storage.

Works well for it's intended use. Just wish I was able to fold it flat with the bottom panel inside the bag so I don't lose it.

Good quality, sturdy shopping bags. They are spacious and tall enough to carry 2 gallons of milk. The insulation will help keep your perishables cold for awhile. I wouldn't recommend leaving groceries in your trunk for an afternoon of course. The inside bottom is removable so that the bags can be folded down more compactly. For the price I wish it came with a strap or some way to secure them closed after they were folded to minimize the chance of damage to the lining, most notably the top cover

These are awesome bags! They hold so much, and they have a wide, flat bottom—the best part. They fit well in the trunk, and they don’t tip over. A great purchase!

Nice Size, they quality is a bit lacking, they don't feel like they will last forever, but should do fine for a while. They can hold ALOT. I keep the blue one in my trunk, and my wife keeps the red in hers, she's gotten a few compliments as well. I love this style grocery bag. They hold a ton of stuff and are easy to carry. I've had several brands and use them for more than just groceries. These are insulated and the colors are nice and bright. These bags seem pretty sturdy too. My big issue with these is that the bottom insert that flaps down isn't attached. And the bags can't fold up with the insert inside. All my other bags fold with the insert, but not these. So its harder to keep the pieces together. I'd say look for a different…

I bought these because we travel to Maine a great deal and it is roughly a 2 hour and 20-minute ride. I wanted something to be able to carry some dairy products to keep cold enough till we got there as sometimes it is late at night. This is perfect. Just big enough to put some milk, eggs, and things you need to put in your refrigerator when you arrive so you do not have to run out in the morning.
