DO NOT BUY! There are many other better options. My rating is the big picture but my results are for a large 180 gallon reef tank with over 12 fish and lots of coral. I will pass all API tests I used. Terrible test suites. If you keep a goldfish or a dainty five dollar fish that you don't care about, you can probably do without them as they can tell you when there's a problem, such as when there's a problem. B. Extremely high ammonia or nitrite levels. . .one. Ammonia is very bad. You can never tell if you're at 0, 0.25, or 0.75. The color bar simply does not match the test, and many water treatment or treatment products consistently give false positive results for ammonia. One of the main reasons for testing ammonia outside of new tank cycles is to use a qt tank. Copper treatment has been shown to affect the results of ammonia analysis, so it's practically useless here. Nitrites are acceptable. I have had good experiences with nitrite testing as the test results are much easier to read and you get results quickly.3. Nitrates are bad. Again, you can spot nitrates when you're close to 0, but if you're having a problem, spotting a color difference between 15 and 50 isn't easy. Also, my Red Sea test set almost always gives me a very different number, and Red Sea has a proven history of accuracy.4. Copper is the worst. Basic and just can't read this to save my life (the reason I decided to write a review now). I have two blue surgeons in quarantine and who the hell knows if copper is toxic or doesn't do anything. This test is rubbish and I am ordering a new one. I followed Cupramine's instructions to the last detail, so I'm probably happy with my copper levels right now. phosphate - who knows. With phosphate in a reef aquarium, your goal is 0.03. There is no way this test can give you a small enough result to determine if you are at an approximate level. However, this will tell you if you've skyrocketed I think (although I've never had that result). 6. High pH range - possible. The results were easy to read, but my matched apex probe, which I believe is 99% accurate, was always about 0.1 off API.7. Calcium - ok. The results were mostly easy to read. My tests in the Red Sea were usually around 10-15 different ones, which isn't the end of the world.
