i think that 8.5 microns its a lot, but you will need it with a hand espresso machine and a cheap scale, this grinder produce a considerable amount of fines, so your espresso would come with a lot of attitude, but you need to calibrate another variables to prevent astringiese (temp, grams of coffee, preheating, pre infusion, pressure curve), this grinder also produce static but you won't be able of splash your beans with water because the fabricant won't allow it, but you have a perfect brush to maximize the output of your grind, and also you have the "air pump" to keep it clean.

cleaning its easy, you can dissasemble really quick and assemble it also quick, i don't recommend this grinder for a person with big hands (XL glove size) because the basket could flown away when you are grinding, they create a mechanism to prevent accidents but, the basket would wiggle more than a normal turned basket.
