The photo shows two animals (they are from series 5). The eggs, while whimsical, don't have the utility or function of Series 1 through 4 eggs, which had studs and could be used on carpets to make baseplates (ones that can fit rocks in studs outside and inside ) of the floor - safe and for displaying animals either standing or with a stick and stone combination. New eggs are difficult to open because the foil doesn't want to come off, breaks easily (if you don't want it), and it's difficult to completely remove the slime and pieces from them. Speaking of slime, it has an *extremely* subtle green and gold glow (1 each) that doesn't stay in the slime and covers surfaces it touches, including parts of the beast, and the slime is *much* stickier than the previous slimes. -Series (especially compared to Series 1, the stickiest in the closet is orange slime). Overall: 3 out of 5 stars. Jan 2021 Edit: I got a few more of these and the slime now matches series 1 through 4 slimes. and the glitter stays in the slime better because the thicker slime doesn't stick to anything anymore. It still leaves some shine on surfaces, but you'll only notice this if the surface is the opposite color/darkness, you're wearing gloves, it's in direct light, or your vision is better than 20/20 (my glasses make my eyesight between 20/20 and 25/20 to make it stand out). This is something to be aware of if cross contamination is an issue.
