I've used quite a lot of lye in my time but most of them have an expiration date. You can tell this leash is made to last. It is very well made, sewn on both sides and quite thick. There is padding in the leech's handle, which makes it more comfortable even when the dog is chasing the squirrel, although considering how it looks, it's not that comfortable. I also like that it's bright red to see it better. And for those who prefer to walk at night, there are reflective stitching to alert the driver to where you are. This leash looks so good it may be the last leash I've ever owned, or at least the longest, so I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a four-legged friend, with one caveat: because it's thick and heavy , I would not recommend this for someone with a small dog, maybe twelve pounds or less.
