Review on K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for 2006-2011 MITSUBISHI Eclipse: High Performance, Guaranteed Horsepower Boost – 69-6502TR by Terry Kohl

I like the performance but the difficult installation. First I saw that the hose clamps were too small so I bought bigger ones before I started. The rear mount z had to have a new hole in the box to fit. The L bracket that goes to the pipe wouldn't align, it would be better if it was further than very close, but wouldn't work. The biggest problem is my car has an automatic transmission and the dipstick is under the box and almost touching, I drilled a 1 1/4" hole in the box to get there, there must be a removable world, to pick up the dipstick. Then the intake duct went into the box and touched the filter, it had to be cut. Finally, my 2007 Eclipse automatic transmission convertible has an air intake at the bottom of the box pointing down and forward. On the bumper I have it not connected yet but i plan to remove the box and make a cutout, the more air the better.
