Provided some performance improvements. Love the sound, if that's all you want you can just remove the baffle from the stock air intake and get the same sound (minus the whistle). Two things that were bad were the supplied clamps were too small and the tube was quite flimsy and easily bent. A ring of steel may have had to be spot welded on each side to keep the clamps from bending in the pipe over time.

As a long-time user, I decided on this air intake without any problems. As other reviewers have noted, the two clamps that came with them were too small and I had to buy several. I also had no luck installing a heat shield on my car. I decided to leave it alone for now. I plan to try again later and maybe make small modifications to the Z mount brackets to make them fit. Heat shield and hardware did not match as described in the instructions. The two bottom brackets and bolts were fine, but the rear mount (vibration mount) was way off. I am currently not using it. Also, the factory intake duct does not fit properly into the hole in the heat shield. The heat shield is too low for a tight fit and part of the intake duct is outside the heat shield. I like the performance but the difficult installation. First I saw that the hose clamps were too small so I bought bigger ones before I started. The rear mount z had to have a new hole in the box to fit. The L bracket that goes to the pipe wouldn't align, it would be better if it was further than very close, but wouldn't work. As you have read in other reviews modifications had to be made to the insulating box to properly fit the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 3.8L but this did not happen. as bad as i thought. It only took 15 minutes to cut and bend the bottom edge of the box to match the bolt holes.
