As you have read in other reviews modifications had to be made to the insulating box to properly fit the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 3.8L but this did not happen. as bad as i thought. It only took 15 minutes to cut and bend the bottom edge of the box to match the bolt holes. However, when I installed my new exhaust manifolds, my mechanic noticed that the bracket that was supposed to attach the CPU ground wire didn't allow the screw to be flush, so he sanded down that part as well. In terms of performance, it's devastating. You really feel the acceleration as the engine enters the powerband at around 5000 rpm. My engine has done 218,000 miles, all by me, and the installation made the engine feel like new again. Of course, my Magnaflow headers and cat back exhaust, which were installed, also help, so my Eclipse runs better than the OEM, but an uninducted exhaust is nothing. I love the whistle I hear from the engine bay when I press the gas pedal! It looks impressive every time I open the hood. Love it!
