This coffee maker was bought to replace a similar Mr. Kaffee that no longer works. Key features that stood out to me were the programmable timer and the auto shut off that this one has. The only feature missing from my old kettle is the adjustable warming plate, but it's always hot enough for me (and I enjoy hot coffee). One feature I love about this coffee maker is that the 'nozzle', which has water dripping from the top of the basket, is built in. My old coffee maker had a separate piece of metal that often came loose and caused the ground water to spill, resulting in wasted coffee. After more than 6 months of use, the coffee is consistently brewed well without any problems. Definitely worth taking away.
