The support works well; You may need to check your application to see if your brackets are designed to disengage from the brackets
Purchased to replace the original lift brackets on my wife's 2010 Highlander Hybrid Limited. What I was not aware of when purchasing is that Toyota intends to manufacture the lift and brackets that attach to the car and tailgate as a single unit and the brackets are not included with this purchase. I had to find a way to loosen the original supports from the brackets (I found a grinder worked best). However, when I did, they worked really well.
