The suction cups on it are the Achilles tendon. They tend to fail sooner rather than later. But while this type works, they save time, so I think it's worth replacing them from time to time. My old one broke and soon after, Vee offered a big discount on the new one. I ordered it only to find it had 3 julienne blades and only 1 cheese grater! So I threw it in the donation box. A few months later, another, identical (except for the color) grater appears. May be? I'm going to dig another one and they fit perfectly. I can easily swap out parts in between. So now I have an extra base and some extra blades which makes me happy because they work so much better than the old ones I had for a few years before the base stopped sucking. Without a working squeegee, it's almost impossible to work with. As summer approaches, I'm sure I'll be putting a lot of use into making salads, pokes, and bowls, not to mention the usual everyday rubs.
