I bought these binoculars for western deer hunting based on a review from another customer who compared them to Vortex branded binoculars. I lost all my hunting gear last year and I miss my Zeiss binoculars. As a worker hunter, I didn't want to spend that much money (around $500) on something that can only be used a few times a year. I shop What could be better suited for this than Revain? So I bought ScoopX and Athlon Midas binoculars together to compare and choose the best. Edge-to-edge sharpness is just superb, no chromatic aberration as always, way ahead of the more expensive Athlon, I could never get that sharp with it. Athlone, no matter how hard I try to focus on it. Compared to the Athlon Midas, the SCOOPX's image quality is very close to that of the Athlon in daylight. I'm particularly impressed with the minimal distortion of ScoopX when viewed through window glass. The differences really start to show when the light starts to fade. In low light just after sunset or in early morning fog, ScoopX is brighter and maintains contrast in lower light conditions. Comparing the two devices side-by-side, ScoopX could definitely "see" deeper into the shadows. Details were more discernible in the gathering twilight. It was the low-light performance that convinced me they cost a little more. In addition, a well-made accessory looks pretty durable. Straps and buckles are durable. Has small binocular tethers that detach from the main strap to hold the binoculars and they work great. I like the locking mechanism, easy to open and close. If you are a hunter or outdoor enthusiast who needs quality binoculars at a very affordable price, I highly recommend you take the time to review the ScoopX 10x42 binoculars. I haven't tried their warranty and hope I never have to but they say it's lifetime too and with this quality product I don't think they can bail us out. I truly believe that this company will be the next big thing with the quality of their products.
