Excellent arcing! I hope this review helps answer some of the questions I'm having trouble finding answers to. First, this is perfect for a 2003 quad with an easy install. Following the instructions and leaving the factory bumper nuts will leave the post about 1 1/2 inches from your bumper. However, I prefer the crossbar to be as close to my bumper as possible, so I removed the factory nuts and installed the crossbar flush with the factory bumper mount, and the crossbar fits very well with minimal clearance between the bar and the bumper . Next, this bar will take 7" lights, I installed 6" Kc Apollo lights with stone guards, and there is space between the light and the top bar. Last tip, when installing the headlights, be sure to remove the skid plate attached with 5 small hex screws, this is easy and makes installing the headlights much easier, then replace the skid plate.
