I bought a heavy duty 100ft roll in white. Although it has a large thickness, it is very flexible and very easy to install. It was the right choice for me. As for the horizontal rails, I've found that one of the keys to installation is to clean the bottom rail very well first. There is a good chance that dirt and debris has accumulated at the bottom of the bottom rail which can prevent the vinyl insert from sliding fully. Cleaning the track prior to installing the insert is of the utmost importance.
