My Lexus dealer said a little over $400 to replace the hood pillars. I'm a 65 year old woman with some tools to unbolt the hood supports that needed replacing and a husband to help hold the hood (although I used a broom as my main source of holding the hood and she came back to the broom) . There is a small clamp on each end of the bars that needs to be loosened/pulled out and the bars came off with little effort. I tried removing the supports without loosening/pulling the clamps but that proved useless. So loosen/remove the clamps on both ends of the supports and they come out. New supports are snapped back. They were inexpensive, easy to install, got good reviews - thanks to the seller for the sale!
