Review on πŸ’§ G Green Drain Waterless Seal for 3.5 Inch Traps by Charles Galan

while it works fine.

Just received and installed today in the basement shower room. I believe this basement shower drain was built without a siphon, so it's a direct outlet from under the shower pan to the ejector pump/tank. Because of this I sometimes get some drain flies in the bathroom and it drives me crazy. Based on the limited testing I've done, it's showing great promise so far (just cranked the shower on full blast and watched a few times). video attached. I'll update the review after I've actually showered with it, and maybe again in a few months. Only gave 4 stars because the price seems a bit high. I think a $15-$20 range would be more reasonable, but we'll see how long it works properly and that might change my mind. Update 08/21/21: This worked well for a long time. It builds up soap scum and detergent and drains a bit slower, so every few months I pull it out of the drain with pliers, clean it with really hot water, then put it back in and it's working like new again.
