Review on ๐Ÿ”ฉ Pro-Ject: 65g Counterweight (1940-875-000) by Brian Rivenbark

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The weight and quantity of the goods are wrong - in fact I sent the weight of 65g twice!

This weight is identical to the 65 gram weight #1940-875-000 that ships with Pro-Ject Debut/Essential tonearms and some Music Hall models that use the same tonearm as original equipment use (marked 00 on the back). Panel). weight) instead of the stated weight of 75g #1940-875-001 (marked 01 on the back of the weight) as stated. The purpose of buying the 75g weight is to be able to fit cartridges that weigh over 5g on this arm (e.g. most cartridges except Ortofon OM series, Audio-Technica series 45e and below or some Grado wagons). In my case, I wanted to install an Ortofon 2M Red pickup that would surpass the capabilities of the OEM 65g counterweight for arm balance. I have ordered and credited this Revain counterweight twice with no problems (other than inconvenience). so no problem in that regard. I ordered it twice to avoid a simple delivery error. In both cases the package was labeled 65g #1940-875-000 rather than the desired 75g #1940-875-001. The 2 stars show my dissatisfaction with the fact that I ordered one item and had a double experience with the other. The item itself as a counterweight was fine and identical to the one that comes with the table. But this is not the subject with which it was described and should be.

Pros
