Works well as I needed a hard and non-edible substrate for the large 4x2x2ft aviary I just got for my young bearded dragon that easy to clean is almost a foot long and then will grow strong. Finding the perfect size rug for the 40 gallon grower I held my baby on when I had him was easy, but at the time it was about the size of my thumb and it was time for an upgrade. After a while when my boy was sitting on paper towels in his big house I bought this to replace so it can be reused and reduce paper waste. I had to cut about two inches long and one inch wide to fit, but it didn't matter much; and I have not noticed any wear or other issues after trimming. Also, I had to set the iron on low to make it even as creases from packaging to shipping made it bumpy and curved and it needs to be flat to work properly. All in all good and it should last a long time and be good value for money as he only poops twice a day or so and his urine is hard and the area dry to the bone which is how the bearded man likes it.
