Its impossible to use it, dont waste your money.

It's possible that I tied the knot, but anything I write here is how I really feel. In general, I decided to get this gadget because of a special offer made available by a local service provider. New ones typically cost $1,500, but if you pay and-no for an entire year in advance, you can get a discount and spend only $1,100 for the router. Everything was already set up at the workplace, so all they had to do was plug it in when they got home. They had high hopes for it, but it fell short of their anticipations and failed to bring them joy. My 2-room apartment should be fully functional with the latest Ver2022.0 and two 5-Dbi antennae, but it's not. The network disconnects one segment of the laptop as soon as you walk out the door and into the hallway leading to the kitchen (even though the doors are open). At three meters, the percentage is less than 100% when my daughter uses a Chinese smartphone. I installed the WiFi network scanning software "Acrilic" Wi-Fi Home on my laptop and scanned the results; I was not pleased. The program uses a signal strength meter called the RSSI, which ranges from 0 to 60 for a strong signal (the green zone), 60 to 80 for an average signal (the pink zone), and 80 to 100 for a weak signal (the red zone). Signal strength is best within 25 to 28 meters of the router, drops to -45 to 49 meters at 2 meters, drops to -73 meters at 4 meters in an open corridor, and is completely lost in a room accessible via the corridor. Strangely, the Zyxel in the flat next door sends a constant signal of -65-70 across the entire place, and I have no idea who the owner is. In fact, its performance is better than mine in the adjacent room. Even with the area set to the United States, the power level only increased by a negligible 2% despite the parameters being optimized to offer the highest amount of power. "(in the US)" To this aim, you can utilize third-party firmware to conduct experiments, despite the fact that I do not recommend doing so. The device is brand new and equipped with the most latest firmware, so it should perform as expected.

Pros
  • design
Cons
  • weak signals and dropped connections
