Review on Sony MDREX15AP/B In-Ear Earbud Headphones with Mic - Black by Bujang'e Lor Nganim ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

The Sony MDR-EX15AP is identical to the MDR-EX15LP, with the exception of the addition of a button and microphone. While the headset is compatible with mobile devices made by LG and Samsung, it is not compatible with devices made by Nokia. It is possible for me to make a comparison between the EX15AP(LP) and previously owned versions of the AKG K324, AKG IP2, and the original Samsung EHS64. The sound of the EX15AP is comparable to the sound of the AKG K324, which is considered to be the best of the group; however, the lower-mid frequencies (below 250 Hz, sometimes known as the "upper bass") are not as prominent. Although the position of the "plug" in the ear has a significant impact on the bass produced by the K324, the EX15AP does not suffer from this limitation. In general, they maintain a flawless fit within the ear canals, which is superior to all of these. Sound: In this price range ($15), it is pointless to talk about any breadth of the "crystal clear stage," attacks, or anything else like that. There is no point. The sound is fine; there is sufficient bass, the highs do not fall off, and overall, everything is in good shape. The equalizer is responsible for balancing out individual preferences and disadvantages (especially ViPER FX 4 Android). Good sensitivity and, if you will, good selectivity are characteristics of a microphone. You are able to carry on a conversation in public transportation without having to bring your hand to your mouth, and the surrounding noise will not interfere with your ability to hear what you are saying. Personally, I think the angular L-shaped plug is a negative, but for others it may be a positive. In general, the MDR-EX15AP is a fantastic option for playing mp3 files on phones and other smart devices. The cord would be made of silicone that is much more pliable. Those that require flac playback from a quality player will, of course, be required to select something more superior and more costly.

Pros
  • sound quality, extremely good noise isolation, an adequate microphone, and excellent value for the price
Cons
  • a tough cord
