Installed the starter today!

The screws were a little tight in the holes in the starter bracket housing just because of the roughness on the screws which is there to hold the screws in place so they don't fall out. After everything was repaired, also in this case, the battery was returned to the car. I noticed that it seemed like the car would spin many more times before it would start. Well I thought it might be a power failure from the engine computer. This is a 2004 Impala 3400. So I just drove the car around to give the computer time to relearn fuel/ignition timing etc and as soon as I turned the key the engine started right away. So it might be worth remembering that if you remove power long enough for the engine computer to reset, you might need to take a test drive before assuming "something weird is going on with the starter". just because it APPEARS to take more time to finally get started. We'll see how long that lasts, but for now I'm glad she's regained her independence!
