This tape gives my basement stairs extra support. After my roommate slipped on the stairs, and a week later, me too. I bought this tape to make stairs safer and it has worked well. My only complaint is that the adhesive is a little weak and can slide off the steps. So before I figured out the hard way whether the glue would work or not, I simply decided to use my construction stapler to attach the straps to the steps. Otherwise, the traction on my steps is great now. Recommend if you can improve adhesion to the surface it is applied to.
