I was a bit skeptical, but after some arguments about installation, these seals actually slow (but don't eliminate) the evaporation of lighter fluid in my Zippo lighter. They aren't magic, the lighter stays filled at most a few days longer, but it seems to be noticeable. Adds a bit of encumbrance fill, but you fill it up less often, so there's a trade-off. I like the look and the practical recess for a spare flint. And now I have some extras for my next Zippo.
