stay away from this product! I figured out a simple plug and play - it's not even close! Connected. USB HD worked well - so far so good. Although there is no internet. Hmmm. I accidentally opened Windows Explorer and saw a mapped drive - with a network driver. Double click and the installation will start. There was no confirmation that the installation was complete - successful or not. And there was no option to reinstall later. A network device was created and an IP assigned to the router, but there was no Internet access. Nothing I did solved the problem. Disconnected everything, rebooted, nothing. I gave up and then realized my USB hard drive was gone! I completely removed the adapter, rebooted and even plugged in my USB hard drive directly (as I originally set it up), I didn't get my drive back! Maybe it's damaged now! Very, very, very upset! I went to the side - it's useless. Couldn't find the device in their terrible search engine. Went to the contact page and they provided an email address (support.us@ugreen.com) which goes nowhere (delivery error notification). I then emailed support@ugreen.com, but now that I understand that my USB hard drive may have been damaged, I want nothing to do with this product. I finally managed to do it and filed a complaint.
