October 28, 2019; received (4) 12" magnetic bars with removable end caps. I am comparing them to the 18" US General (HF) that I have purchased in the past. quality at the level; although the "HT 12 Magnetic Tool Bar" logo/spelling may be annoying for some. What surprised me (perhaps because I didn't read the description carefully) are the removable end caps that give the bars a 1/2 inch clearance behind the bars. so you can use more small tools when needed. Otherwise, remove the caps and mount the rods flush with the surface. I think this is a good option! Since I sometimes find that perforated boards have less usable space, I make small tool boxes that screw onto 1/2" thick plywood. The front of these drawers seems like the perfect spot for magnetic strips and small, commonly used bits, etc The 12 inch length and detachable end caps are great for my needs.
