I have a factory turbocharged Mazdaspeed 3. The old restrictive airbox not only reduced the amount of air coming in, but also deadened the sound of my turbo revving up as well of the blowoff valve completely. NO LONGER! This technique allows me to hear both in all their wonderful glory and also gives you some extra horses. I didn't notice much gain (if any) until about 3600 or 3700 rpm, but after that there's definitely a bit more throttle kick. It was a great purchase, I will be buying Injen air intakes for all future vehicles too!
