Let me be clear, Edelbrock is under no obligation to replace this intake manifold or give me a refund as my warranty period is well over 1 year. Window. I called Edelbrock recently and spoke to a nice gentleman who was actually a CompCams guy in their now merged engineering department. I gave him my name and cell phone number hoping they would contact me about the defect. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because Edelbrock/Compcams don't seem interested in making me sane. For reference, I purchased a 7116 intake manifold on September 12, 2019 and commissioned it on September 5, 2020 the following year. I noticed orange coolant in the "valley" next to the hose nipple, but assumed it was coming from the hose and not the manifold. Guilty. A leak can be described as seepage or leakage of coolant. So the big lesson you've learned here is to trust your instincts. My intuition told me that somehow the collector had a microcrack, otherwise why would there be coolant in this place? Also, be very careful with the warranty window and get your refund sooner. Will I buy this item again? Of course I have to, because it's only a matter of time before this distributor fails with catastrophic consequences. Can I immediately return a new one if it even has pimples on the cast? Yes. i hate acne
