Saddle slides sideways easily and is not secure enough

We bought this saddle hoping to help an elderly friend who is now having trouble lifting heavy western and australian trail saddles. We put it on her horse, a medium sized, medium sized trail horse, and she used a mounting block to mount it. The saddle didn't feel secure when walking slowly on level ground. As she dismounted, the saddle slipped with her for nearly a quarter turn, and the only way to fix it was to remove the horse's girth and girth to adjust it back to center back. This is a reasonably withered horse and is by no means a heavy, broad, round horse. We would worry about our friend getting hurt or killed on the trail if the horse takes a wrong step, stumbles or even shakes his body. So we continue our search for another low cost, lightweight saddle that stays on the horse's back as you mount and dismount without worrying about stability. slides out of it to the horse.
