Purchased about two months ago. The first one I started with showed "E1" which is an error code for a not fully submerged heating element. It was submerged 6 inches below the waterline in my aquarium. The replacement I received lasted a little longer, but after a couple of weeks it was still performing the same as the first one. Works fine for about a month
