This bell is very loud perfect for those who wear headphones with music. This is a simple mechanism that will most likely never fail. I have a mountain bike with a standard flat handlebar. When attaching the bell, the inner circumference of the bell attachment is too small for the handlebar. I adjusted it to the thinnest part. Because the material is flexible, it's not noticeable until you ring the bell and nothing happens. When the bracket is fully tightened, it retracts the trigger just enough so that it doesn't make contact with the bell. I solved this problem by using a small piece of household electrical wire that I bent into a washer shape. It's black so doesn't stand out. This allows the fastener to be properly tightened without interrupting the operation of the torch.
