When i purchased this it was for when my hands are nasty and I don't want to touch my faucet contaminating it with whatever. This does not work like the horrible facets at stores that shut off and you can't get to start in the first place. It turns on without waving and all that mess it also stays on until you turn it back off with the sensor which is great. I usually keep mine on hot, you do have to manually change the water temperature. I installed it myself pregnant with no problems. It's funny now when i go to other peoples house i pause thinking their facet is going to turn on automatically I will never go back to a manual facet again.
