Review on 🚗 Hopkins 43425 Easy Installation Vehicle Wiring Kit by Sam Simone

I bought this at a bargain price thinking it would be a great purchase for my 07 Highlander but had some issues with it unlike other reviewers with an older Highlander. First, the hardest part of the installation is powering the battery. The best option for me was to connect to the auxiliary power and solder a good contact there. The only downside to this is that the wire I spliced was a smaller gauge than the wire that came with it, but with LED lighting I think power consumption will be minimal and if I start blowing fuses I'll have to do it again: ). The harness connector fitted well with the factory tail light harness and was easy to route. The ground was supposed to connect to the car on its own, but I had two ground studs left, so I only used one of those. I didn't have to splice the 4 sides as the driver's side tail light has a hole big enough to go through (you may have a rubber grommet but it goes in and out easily). The biggest problem for me was that the green wire was too short to run from one side of the car to the other, so I had to add a wire! That is unforgivable, as are all climbers of this generation. are the same width, and it's such a small wire that adding another leg would be an easy decision! So this 10 minute job took me an hour but overall I'm glad it works now and I got it for under twenty bucks!
