I bought this lighter because I have a problem with my device. When I see something that catches my eye, I have a desire to explore it. A Zippo-style lighter that doesn't use gas? What are you charging with USB? Relax. And I encourage this kind of innovation, even if in practice you could buy more than 30 gas lighters for the price in the store. But hey, that little "X" plasma thing? Relax. Small LED lamp below? Relax. So I'm not writing this review to encourage or discourage purchases, I'm writing directly to the people who developed it because there is a small bug they need to fix in version 2.0 of this device. When I received the lighter, I charged it. It worked and it worked great - light up cigarettes, cool little plasma thing with an 'X', little LED flashlight, pretty cool. Surprisingly light, much lighter than a regular Zippo. The next morning I threw it in my pocket on my way to work. Later that day I go out for a smoke and the lighter is surprisingly empty. Well, maybe the battery didn't last long, or I had to charge it overnight. So I charged it overnight, the next day I threw it in my pocket, and the same day it was dead again. Strange. I charged it for a few hours and put it back in my pocket. After wandering around for a while I noticed the LED was on. I didn't click anything, why was it activated? Well, builders, you have a small design flaw. The LED light switch sits slightly higher than the rest of the lighter, and you can see from the video that it can turn on when you're carrying it in your pocket, draining the battery. So for version 2.0 of this thing, keep that in mind and design the button so that it doesn't turn on unless you want it to. That's it - an otherwise fun little lighter, a fun little gadget. I will buy again (my gadget addiction loves it) if you fix this little item. Oh, and note that the cigarette lighter's plastic patches are to be expected I guess, but that's another potential area for design improvement.
