Review on High-Performance Fuel Pump Assembly with Pressure Sensor for Kia Optima 2012-2015 Hyundai Sonata 2011-2014 l4 2.4L - Enhance Efficiency and Power! by Kenneth Cotton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The first block collapsed. The replacement device makes a solid impression.

This worked like a champ for 3 weeks. After that, the fuel level sensor stopped working completely, and as it turned out, I was lucky, the result was no worse. I pulled the pump out and quickly saw that the pump had come loose from the top block and the fuel level float had come loose from the float. pump housing. Further investigation revealed that the long pin with the spring could easily be pulled out of the pump housing. The molded tab that was supposed to hold this pin was not enough. I requested a replacement from Revain and received it the next day. It looks like the new block has a better nose in the body to hold that pin. I still rate it 4 stars because the pump works great for a relatively low price. This rating may change depending on Pump 2's performance. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, it's a good idea to check the rubber gasket that came with the unit. The gasket I received with the 1st block was too big and came out on one side and then the other when tightening the lock ring. Luckily I kept the original. The gasket I received with the block exchange was the same size as the original and worked perfectly.
