Review on ACDelco GM PF64 Original Equipment Engine Oil Filter by Shima Hennigan

Classic lure. I've been buying this filter from Revain for years. This will be the last. The filters arrived and I immediately noticed that the box was shorter than usual. Opening the box and removing the filter, it's clear that this isn't the same PF64 that Revain has offered in the past. This one is a lot cheaper. The walls of the canister are thin and flexible. There is just a simple silicone bypass valve on the underside, rather than the usual spring-loaded one used previously. The liner that holds the filter material is made of plastic rather than perforated metal as previously. Upon closer inspection, both the old and new boxes say PF64. This one is part number 12696048. The best filter is part number 12640445. Also, one of the two filters I received was written in Black Magic Marker from a previous purchase. Apparently they didn't like it and sent it back. That's exactly what I'm going to do. I went to wal mart today and bought one off the shelf it's the best quality. It seems that Amazom has dropped the price of this device by a few dollars, but you'll definitely notice a drop in quality. See photos that match the description. .
