If you just need a cheap dowel tool for DIY projects where you're content with the lack of precise centering, this is great value. But be aware that unless you have a really steady hand and a good vise to hold the wood, it's easy to get an imprecise hole and your joints won't line up perfectly. But you get what you pay for, so it definitely works if you work with wood occasionally or want to use it for a job and you need an economical option. But if you plan on using it regularly, you might want to invest in a more professional quality light.
