I bought this so I wouldn't have to worry about changing the batteries in my Wii remotes. The batteries with the charging station sounded great. The first time I used it, I noticed that the batteries drained very quickly. When you put it on the charging base you have to be careful and try to position it correctly so that the indicator lights up to indicate that it is charging. I didn't pay much attention to it, but after about two weeks of use, when the batteries died, it affected the effectiveness of the controller and the game so quickly that I ended up deciding to just not use those batteries at all. I've invested in the Optimum, the longer lasting, better performing double A batteries, and saved myself the headache and stress of those low batteries disrupting our games. Save time, money and headaches and skip it
