Review on πŸͺŸ Sliding Windows Insulation with Enhanced Weather Stripping by Chris Dildine

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's kinda weird. Some important points to know.

This version is too thick to fit through the pressure seal slots. It is intended for the outside of the door. to fill in the gaps when the door closes. I had a lot of trouble applying it directly by hand. I had to use a tool or something. Because there will always be some kind of gap and I have to peel it off and press it several times causing it to lose its stickiness. In the end I made it 90%. Although some parts started to curl like a cow because adhesion ended. I had to glue it with the glue I had. Overall, my door frame looks cool with the blacked out line, and combined with the silicone dust stopper in the floor, it really reduces the volume in my room. My brother called me to say my pizza is baking downstairs as I type this review and it's usually LOUD! but now it's like I hear it from across the street. I haven't measured the overall perimeter of my door frame and checked if that's enough. I assume my door is a standard size and I assumed this product would fully cover a standard size door. including the top. The foam only covers from side to side, leaving only a few inches. Gap in the floor I used a separate product but this caused the noise to seep through the top of the door. So I bought another smaller version of these foam strips which gave a lot but was very flimsy. Then I re-glued the whole door. several times to fill in the gaps. In general, they spent about $ 35 on door soundproofing, it turned out decent. I still have 2 rolls of small glue left, I can use it for cosmetic line or windows and such.
