All the connectors feel so solid that I'm sure they will last a long time even with a lot of movement. The only exception might be the internal SATA connector. It doesn't have much vertical support so it can be moved up and down a bit, but I don't know if it's soldered directly to the board or if it has a cable. If it has a cord, the freedom of movement won't compromise durability. In fact, engaging or ejecting the drive too aggressively can improve durability to some degree. 3.5" hard drives can be screwed in through the appropriate screw holes on the bottom of the case. In fact, they even included screws for this purpose. :) You can also connect a laptop hard drive or SSD to the connector and electrically it works fine. However, there is no physical support inside and it doesn't lay flat on the bottom of the case so it's fully supported by the SATA connector, it's fine for temporary use such as when the motherboard or screen of your Laptops burned out and you're trying to salvage the hard drive, but moving the unit while it's plugged in that way is probably not the way to go.. Also, if you're switching drives every day, a toaster-style dock or a Case with hot-swap bay will probably last longer. But for my occasional personal use it will work just fine. I I can't comment on the electrical reliability as I've only had it a month, but I can update the review later and indicate whether it's still working or not. Edit to add: I found a problem with the device, I couldn't get it to work with power through the J5. Create a USB hub that sits on my desk next to the monitor: I had to plug the case directly into my computer before my computer would see it. I don't know if it's an issue with the case itself, the hub, or compatibility between the two. So if it doesn't seem to work, try it directly on your computer before sending it back. I will check if there is a hub driver in J5 that improves compatibility. I don't know which product is to blame, so I'm not deducting a star. I checked the RSHTECH website to see if they have a driver that improves compatibility, but they don't.
