As mentioned earlier, this item is similar to another giant egg shaped egg cooker with no handles. The problem with the other one is that you have to figure out how to get it hot out of the microwave after cooking without spilling it all over the place. In this case, those little orange handles make a big difference. The handles also stay nice and cool. This comes with an egg piercing tool, but if I dip the eggs in warm water before cooking to remove the cold, they don't need to be pierced. I've boiled over a dozen eggs so far and none of them have cracked. I boil medium eggs for 9 minutes and they come out perfect every time. Great time saver. I was not approved in any way for this review and paid full price for the product. I have had this product for about a month now. During that time I have cooked at least 6 dozen eggs. My 12 year old son really enjoys using it too. Not a single egg has burst, not a single one has been punctured. I'm going to buy another one as a backup - we've become very addicted to the thing.
