My daughter is 4 years old but is the height and weight of a 6 year old. It didn't fit her sweater anymore and after searching the internet and reading reviews I decided on this one because based on the reviews I thought it would actually fit and it does. My only problem is that it keeps going up no matter how we put it on so it rubs her chin. The first time she put it on we were in the pool for maybe an hour and I had to take it off because she was almost rubbing her chin. I've never had this problem with a puddle jumper. The part that surrounds the chest is made up of multiple layers that make it float rather than one thick piece, and those layers appear to slide around because the fabric isn't sewn as tightly as it could be to keep it in place and to hold position. and the position of the clasp on the back also seems to play a role. However, it keeps them afloat, that's all.
