Overall the kit looks decent. The starter PDF probably should have reported the difference between using C and Python on the board, the pros and cons, and the actual language used. Additionally, the startup should have referred users to the manual for each language for the FAQ section instead of placing it at the startup. In terms of quality, I've had many parts inserted into the board with bent pins instead of through holes. The scoreboard with the module attached was bent in such a way that the pins had to short the case to ground and be bent back. Rather than advising to use a screwdriver and potentially bending the contacts or damaging the silicon, an IC puller should have been provided as these are extremely cheap. Many of the code examples are wrong, and if you're not familiar with how C++ works, you probably don't know how to fix the problem. Also, they typically don't provide comments or explanations for hard-to-understand blocks of code. Many beginners learn little from non-basic examples.
