Kit was fine. The receipts were TERRIBLE! I'm very new to this and the included link to supposed instructions was basically useless. I should have found clearer instructions elsewhere

I use the facility all the time, not interested in robotics, but there is a good range of motors, gearboxes. The online programming guides are pretty good, so it's a good starter kit.

I used to buy similar kits from other vendors. All were pretty good. This set was no exception, it was well packaged in a plastic box. Although many of the parts and sensors in the kit are duplicates and triplets of the items I have, it still doesn't hurt to have extras. What really sets this item apart is the customer support. While working on the tutorial I contacted them three times. They replied to me in about an hour. It doesn't get much better.

UPDATE 2/2: The developer contacted me after Lunar New Year and provided an update for the kit and documentation. --- Ideal for beginners. The documentation shows how to use each sensor in the kit. The support team is responsive but not careless if you encounter any problem that is not normal. I've encountered an issue where the battery ran out on several projects. I had to supply a 3.7V Li-Ion battery to power the N293D. I have contacted support with a request to update the documentation.

Good value for money, comes with ESP32 WROVER board, common parts, breadboard etc. Nice to have a breakthrough as ESP32 doesn't play well with breadboards due to its width. (If you have two breadboards, you can remove the power rails, connect them together, and connect the ESP32 between the two boards to expose the pin connections on either side of the ESP32.) The code examples are clear and easy to follow. I wouldn't recommend this for the absolute beginner, but it's great as a "what's next"…

Overall the kit looks decent. The starter PDF probably should have reported the difference between using C and Python on the board, the pros and cons, and the actual language used. Additionally, the startup should have referred users to the manual for each language for the FAQ section instead of placing it at the startup. This kit contains many circuit boards/sensors/motors etc to experiment with. The ESP32-WROVER is compatible with the Arduino IDE, and Freenove includes several example sketches (available on GitHub or their website) in their kit.
