I bought L-Lysine after hearing about its skin benefits on TikTok. I take a lot of supplements so I put them in the cupboard to add to my pills next week when this came up. As I prepared to take my pills for the next week, I couldn't remember what these and a few other supplements I'm taking were for! So I decided it was time to revisit ALL the 20+ supplements I wanted to add to my weekly pill box. Now I only get herpes every few years, but that morning I felt the start of a brew... as I read about the benefits of lysine and reminded myself why I bought it (40+, dull, lifeless skin), nudged I also look at reviews from people taking it from herpes. I didn't even wait to put it in the pill box and immediately took one with some water on an empty stomach just to see if the herpes could be helped as it's technically the same virus. WITHIN ONE HOUR the tingling and blistering GONE. There was no herpes itself, but I was almost numb from the irritation. I took it twice a day for a week when I had herpes. It popped up, opened up, scabbed and all that, but let me tell you it was never painful and was less than half the size it normally would be. I hope this helps my skin too, but I will always buy it in the future for cold sore relief.
