This is a good crepe maker. It heats up quickly, just turn the knob to your desired temperature, then wait a few minutes for it to turn green and you're done. I used oil every time I cooked and wiped my plate with paper towels after every pancake I made. I once forgot to put butter in it before making a pancake and it didn't stick to the plate, probably because the batter I used had a lot of butter in it. The pancake maker came with a pancake spreader and a spatula. I've used a crepes maker and it takes a while to get used to it, but it definitely worked. The spatula was too thick on the rim so I couldn't separate the pancake from the plate, but it was good for flipping pancakes. In addition to using it for pancakes, I've tried making quesadillas on it and it worked. To clean I just wipe it down with a paper towel with soap and water, then I just wipe down with a paper towel and water. Then I always make sure it's dry before I put it back in the box. Overall I like this pancake. It would be nice if the plate was removable so that I could prepare other foods besides pancakes and wash them thoroughly. It's almost perfect, but not quite there yet. I definitely recommend this item.
