I have several aquariums. I have had magnetic floats for many years and am very satisfied. I have several stubborn algae in the same aquarium. The old magnetic float worked perfectly on all but one of the tanks. It would take many passes to remove most of it from the jar. I tried blue handled scrapers but the glue holding the pads together didn't work and smeared all over the glass. Don't waste your money on any of them. This magnetic float with scraper quickly removes stubborn dirt. Very happy ! Highly recommended
