I don't know if it's broken or not, but we use the bidet function, water is always sprayed between the seat and the basin, but only on the left side. It seems to work, but we have to remember to take off our left leg when we use the seat to avoid water stains on the clothes, and then we have to wipe the back of the left leg and the ankle with toilet paper when we're done . . Of course, I wish Toto had a support team to help us sort this out. We would have returned ours as defective but we are busy and missed the return window. TO UPDATE. We contacted TOTO and sent in our device for warranty repair. Payback was about 2 weeks. So far it works great. Very happy!
