This is my second Panasonic phone. Both are basically the same. My first set that looked exactly like this lasted about 3-4 years. My second phone is replacing the first as about half of the phones have started to have problems e.g. B. when answering a call, the other interlocutor cannot hear me, etc. There are no problems with charging. I really liked the Panasonic set and after careful research I decided to buy this set again. The pros outweigh the cons in my book. This is one of those purchases that you want to buy (not return) and be happy from the start. Although Panasonic has the same set in three different models. My first set was probably the "Good" model and this time I bought the "Best" model (this one). There are slight differences in the devices, but in general everything is the same. In any case, this model is better than others. The price difference is very small, but the value of a better system far outweighs the price difference. What I like about the Panasonic phone is that you don't have to be near the phone to know who is calling. For example, let's say you're in the kitchen cooking and can't stop what you're doing to see who's calling. You don't have to either, as the handset will tell you who it is. And nine times out of ten I don't want to answer the phone. Also, for some reason no one can find one in my house even though there are 5 phones. You use the phone, you hang up, and then someone rings and suddenly you're looking for the phone. Now that the phone tells you who's calling and you can hear where the call is coming from, it's easy to find the phone when you need it. I have to admit sometimes it's funny when the phone says caller ID. You get a pretty good laugh. This is entertainment in itself. There were never any problems with the batteries and the handset was unreadable. I always use a speaker that sends and receives audio clearly. The telephone system is easy to set up. I'm an ordinary person and the phone system was up and running within minutes. The first time you use the handsets after installing them, they need to be charged for 12 hours. After that you are ready to go. Coming from someone who has a lot of phone systems. ATT, VTech, Radio Shack and other brands. My first set of this type of model was the first time I bought anything from Panasonic. And this second set is the first time I've bought back the same phone. This telephone system lasted the longest. I can, but I don't connect my cell phone to the telephone system. It's just my preference, not too much but you can do it. I usually do everything from the phone, not the base station. In fact, I think I checked messages from the base unit maybe once or twice in the four years of my first set. You can do whatever you want with the tube (any of the tubes), which makes it very convenient. You can now mute the handset when you want to call caller ID. For me that's a downside of this phone system because if you have guests and the phone rings your handset will tell you who it is. This can be annoying or perceived as an obstacle. So before I mute all the phones. As with other phone systems, someone calls, the machine answers, you check later or look at the phone. This phone system is voice based which is great 99% of the time. It's only 1% and yet it wasn't big enough to deter me from buying another brand. Another problem I have with the phone system is no longer a problem with the new system. I LOVE IT. In the old system there was little light (see photo). It flickers and has a range similar to a night light. If you have a message, and currently most of my messages are from telemarketers. The handset flashes intermittently. Well, it doesn't matter if you're awake in your bedroom and that blinking orange light is flashing intermittently. It looked like a lighthouse. Of course, if you want to move around the house at night, ALL the tubes could light your way as they all flash when there are messages. BUT NOT ANYMORE. There's nothing in this model that would make it difficult to find the phone in the dark, but I can deal with that.
