I needed a large journal pocket. In this case I was able to fit: 10 Tombow Dual Brush Pens; 10 Staedtler fineliner pens 0.3 mm; 6 Staedtler fineliner pens 0.5 mm; 2 Sakura Micron grips; 1 removal stapler, 1 sharpie; 2 Bic mechanical pencils; and 2 retractable pilot fine-point pens. Surprisingly, I could probably fit 10 more Dual Brush pens in there, even if that were tight. The grip is good, the material seems durable. I can see that the side zipper can be a problem if you're not careful when opening - it can get caught when you pull, and if you're not careful it can just fall off. This side opening drew me to this bag because it gives me easy access to my many pens while journaling. I can leave it on the table and not have to pick it up to find the marker I need. The small slots in the side pocket also allow me to separate those standard writing tools from the markers I use for journaling. Inside the bag are two pockets where I have stickers and binding clips. My sixteen year old daughter wants one now. I am very happy with this purchase!
