Review on License Holder Bracket Unique Screws by John Wei

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits well on my 2011 Mini Cooper hard top, easy to fit

The screws on my original rear number plate could not be removed after many years (even after applying catalytic oil) so I had to buy a new rear number plate bracket for my 2011 Mini Cooper Hardtop. It fit well, the price was great and it only took me a few minutes to replace my old license plate holder with this holder and attach my new license plate to it. The license plate holder itself is a fairly thin gloss black plastic construction that could easily be chipped off with a hammer or chisel but is about the same thickness as the original Mini Cooper license plate holder. It remains to be seen whether the plastic will last for many years. The license plate holder comes with 8 screws: two long ones to attach the holder to the car, four longer screws to attach the license plate frame to the holder and four shorter screws to attach the license plate directly to the holder. A word of caution, the screws that attach the license plate to the license plate bracket and the license plate bracket to the vehicle are of an unusual design, with a thin pin in the center of the star hole, so just the screwdriver provided with the plates will work. It is therefore best to keep this small special screwdriver in the glove compartment of your car, as it can easily be lost over time.
